Émile is a scruffy, fat rat who'll eat anything and everything, even if he has no idea what it is or where it came from. A bit on the slow and simple-minded side, Émile (pronounced like emu with an ile instead of u. I think.) is Rémy's brother whom Rémy tries to show the wonders of blending tastes. Using colorful, flowery dramatics and words, Rémy painted a sparkling picture in his own head-- and Émile... "I lost ya."

Émile is the only rat that is supportive, and moreover, tolerates Rémy's passion for food. In a way, he is Rémy's best friend. Émile is pretty airheaded, and will eat anything he can provided he can chew it.
