Linguini
_____________________________

Linguini is a clumsy, lovable character in the movie. He is a shy, coy man in perhaps his early twenties or late teens. Linguini's mother, who is never seen in the movie, dies of disease. His mother is of important status in the restaurant, and sends a letter convincing Skinner to hire her son.

Skinner doesn't bother to read the letter and hires him as a garbage boy. However, when Remy begins to shine through Linguini, Linguini is giving the option to stay. An awkward mover, Linguini can be manipulated through tugs of his hair. He is later discovered to be the only heir to the restaurant and the son of Gusteau. Linguini, gentle and loving in nature, becomes on of Remy's best friends and lets him live well in his apartment. Linguini may not be a chef, but he proves to be a superb waiter at the end of the movie.
