The Story:

Historic:

  In a way, the relationship between Xing Cai and Liu Shan (erroneously referred in to in the game as Liu Chan)  was a forced one. When Liu Chan was ready to marry, the brilliant strategist Zhuge Liang  suggested that he wed Zhang Fei's daughter, Xing Cai.  Xing Cai was known to be "virtuous  and prudent". Upon their marriage, Xing Cai  became known as Empress Zhang. Her name was not historically recorded. 

     When Xing Cai perished,  Liu Chan lived on. So he married Zhang Fei's younger daughter, who also became known to the people as Empress Zhang. It is unknown if there was truly any love between this couple.
