Below as well, we offer advice on which type of website you should get (freewebs, etc.) Now, to advertise your website, you should FIRSTLY go to a popular website [duh] and after exploring sign their guestbook. Write about your stay then request that they see your site, and give the link. Here's a classic: affiliate with someone. If your websites are both about writing or have a similar topic (unless the site doesn't mind that stuff) fill our a form or contact the webmaster with an affiliation request

*Freewebs- I would STRONGLY suggest this website. It's easy and your website ends up looking great!
Wetpaint- It's pretty easy but even though there is no HTML to it it's a bit more complicated than Freewebs.
Piczo- It's REALLY easy. You can't get many site awards with it, but that's your decision, right?
*Geocities- You have to have a yahoo for it, and you have to know some HTML but anyways you can really do whatever you want. ^^
