Taigong Wang and Nu Wa
Nu Wa regards Taigong Wang as her son in many respects. She refers to him
dominantly as "child," and appears to harbor a motherly fondness towards him. In
the final cutscene before the trio's confrontation with the escaped Orochi, she
chides him playfully for being too dramatic.
Despite her scolding, she is very protective of Taigong Wang and reluctant to
hurt him. Her in-game dialogue suggests this strongly. When the two encounter on
opposing sides, she warns him, "Child, are you looking to be hurt?" If he
is successful in defeating her, she appears to be more proud than upset: "You
have outstripped me, young one..."
If she ever encounters her husband and brother, Fu Xi, on the field, and is
defeated by him, her final words also reveal how much she cares for Taigong
Wang's welfare: "Take care of the child..." Nu Wa remains concerned for his
safety even in the light of her own demise.
